Prior to joining the Center for Environmental Leadership in Business, Greg Love was the Manager of the CI's Guatemala Program where he worked as the primary contact for program operations between CI's headquarters offices in Washington, DC, and the field program in Guatemala. He was responsible budget management, policy analysis, proposal research and preparation and logistics coordination for projects with field and headquarters staff.
In his current role, Greg develops working relationships and coordinates projects with energy and mining companies and CI field programs that are aligned with the Energy and Mining Industry Program strategy. He works closely with other CI program managers in the field and in Washington and with corporate partners to promote best-practices at hydrocarbon and mineral development projects and identify opportunities for 'net benefit' outcomes for biodiversity.
Greg served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala form 1991 to 1995, working on reforestation and soil conservation efforts. After returning to the United States, he attended Columbia University where he completed a field project in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and another in Chiapas and Nayarit Mexico. He also helped start a telecommunications business in Chicago.
