Artists Aiding Conservation: With support from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund, the Yunnan Academy of Arts arranged for 11 artists to paint in the Baimaxueshan National Nature Reserve in the Mountains of Southwest China Hotspot. These artists created paintings that focused on raising public awareness of and establishing a new fundraising mechanism for conservation in the region. The paintings were then displayed at the exhibition hall of the academy as well as in an online exhibition.

An exhibit is being planned for the United States where selected paintings will be auctioned to raise funds for conservation and community development projects in Baimaxueshan Nature Reserve.
