First Grantee Meeting a Success: Conservationists and scientists representing 35 nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) from five countries met recently in the highlands of Juta in the Kazbegi Mountains of Armenia. Recipients of grants from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) shared research findings and field experiences and recognized and discussed the achievements made in the first 2 years and $5.6 million of grantmaking. The event allowed participants to build relationships to strengthen the network of conservationists in the region.
