Our partnership with Rainforest Alliance is focused on encouraging best practices for coffee cultivation methods
- CI, the Rainforest Alliance and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center, along with leaders in the coffee industry, produced the Conservation Principles for Coffee Production. The Principles formed a basis for the Starbucks Green Coffee Purchasing Guidelines and Preferred Supplier Pilot Program announced in 2001. (Relaunched as the C.A.F.E. (Coffee and Farmer Equity) Practices program in 2004). more
