- Anglo Base Metals, a division of Anglo American is part of the Succulent Karoo Ecosystem Planning Project (SKEP), a multistakeholder process funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF).
- Anglo American is involved in the Bushmanland Conservation Initiative (BCI), a project in which a variety of stakeholders are working to establish a 200,000 hectare protected area as well as to pilot local economic development activities.
