Vlasova joined CELB in July 2005 as the Center’s operations and finance associate. Prior to CELB, she worked with CI as the coordinator for the Andean Regional Program based in Washington, DC and as coordinator for the environmental education program—Paramo of Guerrero project for almost four years in CI Colombia.
A native of Colombia, she has worked for more than five years focusing in community participation inside and outside protected areas with the National Park System of Colombia, supporting around 15 areas among parks, reserves and flora and fauna sanctuaries, such as Sanquianga and Gorgona National Parks, part of the Choco-Manabi Conservation Corridor and with the Bogota City Major’s Office in The Fucha River sanitation program.
Vlasova likes swimming, snorkeling, playing the clarinet, loves hiking and keeping busy in her home improvements project.
