As Senior Business Advisor at Conservation International’s (CI) Center for Environmental Leadership in Business (CELB) Jamie Sweeting leads CI’s relationships with a number of leading companies.

Before assuming this position, Jamie was Senior Director of the Travel & Leisure program at CELB for 7 years, where he engaged leading tourism corporations to limit their environmental footprint and maximize their contribution to conservation. Armed with his expertise in business management and the field of ecotourism, Jamie assisted companies in identifying the business benefits of becoming tourism industry leaders in biodiversity conservation and community development.

Prior to joining CELB, Jamie was Manager of the Ecotourism Program in CI’s Conservation Enterprise Department, for 5 years where his work involved close collaboration with CI's international field offices to develop and implement over 35 ecotourism projects in more than 17 countries. He managed the program's resort development, marketing and publications initiatives, and oversaw the development and launch of the Ecotravel Center, a pioneering, comprehensive ecotourism Internet resource.

In 1995, before coming to CI, Jamie worked as an information specialist for the Ecotourism Society and conducted a special management project on ecotourism in the Caribbean.
