ELIZABETH BAER Manager, Business Policies and Practices Education: Middlebury College: B.A., Environmental Studies As a part of the Technical Solutions team at Conservation International’s Center for Environmental Leadership in Business, Elizabeth develops tools and methodologies to help companies assess, manage, mitigate and offset environmental impacts from the site to corporate scale, with a focus on supply chain management and climate impacts. Elizabeth also manages the data behind CI’s carbon calculator and contributes to CI communications about climate and individual action. Before joining CELB, Elizabeth managed CI’s internal greening initiative. In this role, she developed goals, targets and work plans for CI’s footprint focus areas, wrote CI’s first Footprint Report, and helped CI earn a LEED Silver rating for its new headquarters office. She also ran employee engagement around the initiative and draws on this experience to advise companies on employee engagement and greening strategies. Though never underestimating the power of individual action, Elizabeth is currently focused on exploring ways to leverage scale for good and applying emerging technologies to benefit the environment. Elizabeth has studied in Copenhagen and is learning Spanish. |
