He significantly supports the CELB Climate Program’s carbon sequestration projects and aided the Marine Program’s Defying Ocean’s End activities.

Ben is an experienced finance, operations and technology executive, with more than fifteen years of executive experience with corporations such as Motorola and Vcapital. At Vcapital, a firm that raised corporate financing for businesses through a network of venture capitalists and investment firms, he was a co-founder and Vice President. Prior to Vcapital, Ben was a corporate officer and Vice President with RadioWave Corporation, a Motorola subsidiary, and held various management and technology positions at Motorola’s Multimedia, Cable Modem and Cellular Divisions.

Ben is an avid conservationist and a certified SCUBA diver, and he competes in local triathlons and marathons. During a recent sabbatical, he traveled around the world to 17 countries, where he logged 500 new species on his bird life list and enjoyed the world’s wonderful marine and terrestrial wildlife. He was an active community volunteer in Chicago, with the John G. Shedd Aquarium and Illinois EcoWatch Program.
